Departing from Teyssieu, dominated by its feudal tower, this circuit to Estal and its church marks, on the way back, a ridge path offering vast views over the valley of the Cère.

Last vestige of a castle built in 1232, the feudal tower of Teyssieu had resisted all wars but almost succumbed to an administrative decision. Indeed, between 1909 and 1911, the municipality had requested its classification as a Historic Monument. The commission having judged it to be of secondary interest, it had to be destroyed! Fortunately, it was decided to preserve it and its classification was requested again in 1923. 40m high, this former keep has five levels.
