Henri, an inhabitant of Bastit, strongly contributed to the development of this trail that today bears his name

Sheep farming has strongly influenced the development of the Causses du Quercy. Thus, the low walls, the caselles and the gariottes which structure the landscapes, are the witnesses of this pastoral history. Main actor of the maintenance of the dry grasslands and the paths of undergrowth, the ovine breeding still remains here the dominant agricultural activity.
